The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops
Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.
He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on mopping and robot vacuum combos. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to cross mopping off the to-do list. They have impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and they can even wash and refill their mopping pads for a hands-off clean.
The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model to pick if you are looking for an automatic vacuum cleaner that can also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list, which makes it easier to maneuver into tight corners and underneath furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of my favorite navigation and avoidance capabilities I've seen in a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh that can last up to 170 minutes if cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can be more efficient when using turbo). It can even return to the dock to replenish its battery halfway through a clean.
remote hoover and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the living room, kitchen, and hallways with just one pass. Its suction motor of 8,000pa will quickly pick up dirt, droppings and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically increases power when it detects carpets and the double side brush assists in removing debris from corners.
The mopping performance, while still impressive, is not as good. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and makes use of 2.2lbs to clean dirt and stain. I've also noticed that the front arms protrude out a bit more than other robots, which is helpful to maneuver around tight corners and on baseboards. The same front arms can also be used to pick up larger debris like broken toys and books.
The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mop and vacuums I've tested. It is quieter and doesn't produce as much noise when mopping or vacuuming. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to use a proprietary mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to set up and works well. However when you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping you must pay attention to this.
The Roborock Q Revo
The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums that mop in its class. It is a powerful machine for cleaning with a variety of features.
The device has an impressive and powerful cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensors and an RGB camera to map the house and identify furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This ensures an efficient and consistent cleaning, while also being relatively quick.
The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. This includes corners or baseboards, as well as other difficult-to-access spots. They also have a flexible side brush that extends to the floor in close proximity to walls and other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be dried and washed to avoid build-up and lessen the odors.
Another notable feature is the app-based customization options. The Q Revo lets you adjust the amount of suction, and choose between a back-andforth or more random pattern. You can also alter the number of passes it must make, which will affect how quickly the device can move around your home. You can also decide to turn off the side brush to avoid damaging rugs and carpets.
It's expensive, however it has many useful features. It is important to remember that the device is subject to recurring expenses in the form mopping equipment and regular maintenance. For example brushrolls need to be replaced every six to twelve months or after 300 hours. The filter will need to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad needs to be replaced every one to three months.
This robotic vacuum cleaner has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide array of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also comes with an energy button that doubles as a 'Clean' button' and a 'Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also comes with a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin and refills its water tank to mop and washes and dries its mop pads.
The Shark Matrix Plus
If you're a professional with a lot of work or someone who just wants a cleaner home without spending a lot of time on chores, the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life make it easy to maintain a clean home with little effort.
The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. It has two modules: a dry bin and water reservoir and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps into and out of position. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated however, they mean you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.
Our test participants discovered that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its most impressive feature is its accurate floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. The Matrix Plus was able to navigate easily through rugs, furniture and other obstacles. The app allows you to create 'No-Go Zones' or virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by mop.
We also noticed that the Matrix Plus did surprisingly well in removing hair from pets. It was able capture an enormous amount of hair that our cats shed and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs, where other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to signal that it was beginning and working towards its goal.
The biggest flaws were its simple app and the necessity to switch between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app doesn't have the capacity to contain multiple maps, which could be a pain for homes with multiple floors. The Matrix Plus is a good choice for people who want an intelligent robot that can perform both mopping and vacuuming.
The Yiko X1 Omni
The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have some unique features which make it worth considering. The X1 Omni's biggest draw is its enormous dock that doubles as the robot's charging base and the housing for two water tanks, a sink for cleaning and a 2.5-liter dust bin that is automatically empties.
The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. robot cleaner amazon let you manually start a cleaning task or recall the robot or use the dock's automatic emptying process. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a wonderful feature for parents who are worried about their children playing with the vacuum.
The X1 Omni like other robotic vacuums, uses its camera to spot obstacles and furniture that are in its path. It will steer clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.
Unfortunately this means that the X1 Omni can sometimes get so entangled with an obstacle--such as an electrical cord dangling across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you free it. While it was not common, it was a frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni does not have a "stuck" status alert on its app.
Another issue that could be a problem is one of the biggest drawbacks is X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during the cleaning process. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad however, the mopping pad doesn't get washed or dried between uses. This can cause mildew and mold.
On the positive side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who dreamed up its modern, sleek base and mopping pad apparatus. It's a big departure from the utilitarian all-black bases of rivals such as Roborock or iRobot. And it's an excellent choice for the market that is dominated by boxes.
